Dr. Mihaela Popescu, popescum@csusb.edu, Mihaela Popescu is a professor of media studies at CSUSB. She is the Quality Assurance Lead Coordinator for the campus and oversees faculty professional development for designing and teaching online courses. Popescu co-founded and currently directs an award-winning immersive technologies unit within the Information Technologies Services at CSUSB. The Lab provides expertise and research for teaching and learning with virtual and augmented reality. Popescu’s research interests address the relationship between digital media policies and social inequality.
